Each story in the carousel has a download button. For photos, clicking download opens the full-resolution image in a new tab — right-click and "Save Image As" to save it. For videos, the MP4 file opens directly.
You can also click on a story to open the full-size viewer, which includes a dedicated Download button and video playback controls.
Our story viewer only works with public Instagram accounts. If an account is set to private, their stories are restricted to approved followers only — no external tool can access them.
This is different from profile pictures, which remain publicly accessible even on private accounts. Stories have stricter privacy controls by design.
